These handmade natural art brushes were created from found wood on one of my foraging trips around my homestead. Each piece of wood is then brought home and carried through a process of cutting to size, stripping the bark, sanding, embellishing, and waxing. The bristles vary from natural resources such as horsehair, deer hair, boar hair, straw, pine straw, natural plant fibers, wire, metal, feathers, and some synthetic materials. These brushes are made to be functional but are not fine art brushes. Not one is alike and they are all imperfect. That’s what makes them so special.
